For the mum in you

Mum guilt and caffeine were never meant to be a way of life.

Most of us were handed the same plan. Go back to work, find a nursery, rush home for bedtime, and feel like you’re letting someone down wherever you are.

If that plan works for your family, I’m genuinely glad. But if you’re reading this with a baby on your hip and a quiet voice telling you there has to be another way, there is.

Slow mornings. Being there for the first steps and the school run. Holidays that don’t need signing off. An income that grows around your family, not instead of it.

If that’s what you’re craving, you’re in the right place.

Meet your host

Hi, I’m Nancy.

I was running on mum guilt and caffeine. After my first maternity leave I went back to my corporate job, and within weeks I knew it wasn’t sustainable. I was burnt out, my confidence had gone, and I felt like I was failing at home and at work at the same time.

I had every reason not to start something new. No tech skills, no spare time and a second baby on the way. But I had two very good reasons to go for it, and they were the ones I was missing every day.

So I laid the foundations while I was still working full time and pregnant, then used my maternity leave to build. Within 11 months I’d replaced my income, and I never went back.

Today I’m a solo mum of two boys, and the business I built is what lets me be there for them every single day. Now my passion is showing other mums they don’t have to choose between being present and building something of their own.

With love,

Nancy x

Inside the training

Three honest conversations, mum to mum

01

Why working harder won’t get you out

When your income is tied to your hours, every extra pound comes out of time with your children. That’s why mum guilt feels built in, and why the answer isn’t a better rota.

02

Building in the gaps

Nap times, evenings, maternity leave. You don’t need more hours in the day, just a simple way to use the ones you already have, without missing the moments that matter.

03

You were never meant to do this alone

The women around you change how far you go. Inside Liberated you’re not left in the dark: there’s a community, real support and mums who meet up offline too.

Why I made this

I know what it costs to keep saying “next year”.

Every month I stayed in that job, I missed moments I’ll never get back. Once I’d built the life I wanted, I couldn’t keep the how to myself.

This training is the honest, mum-to-mum conversation I wish someone had sat down and had with me back then.

Becca with her little one

Becca

Becca wanted to be there for every first and teach her little one at home, so she built a business that made it possible. Now she’s exploring the UK in a campervan with her family, with baby number two on the way.

Laura by the sea at sunset

Laura

Laura was on maternity leave, dreading the return to her healthcare job, when she decided her baby boy wasn’t going to grow up watching her leave. She started building in the quiet moments, and eight weeks later she made her first high-ticket sale. Her income has kept growing ever since, and she’s doing it on her terms.

Jamie holding her baby

Jamie

Jamie set up her business before she became a mum, so when her baby was born the freedom was already in place. Next up, the whole family is moving to Spain to see the world together.

Lisa in a field

Lisa

Lisa built her business long before her daughter came along, so becoming a solo mum never meant giving anything up. She’s spoken on stages around the world and helps fund animal shelters across Southeast Asia, but her favourite place is wherever her little girl is.
